Soccer Game Preview: Grayslake Central vs. Wauconda

The Grayslake Central Rams will face off against the Wauconda Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Grayslake Central comes in on six and Wauconda on four.

Grayslake Central's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Grant Community. Grayslake Central's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six contests.

Meanwhile, Wauconda made easy work of Round Lake on Thursday and carried off a 5-0 win. Wauconda might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by four goals or more this season.

Grayslake Central's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matchups. As for Wauconda, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Grayslake Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Wauconda in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
