Basketball Recap: Thrive Charter's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Thrive Charter walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 53-37 victory over the Manville Mustangs on Tuesday. Given Thrive Charter's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Manville is ranked 161st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for Thrive Charter, bringing their record for this year to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Manville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Coming up, Thrive Charter will take on New Providence on Friday. New Providence will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Thrive Charter surely won't give up without a fight. Manville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
