Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Westfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 59-47 to the West Orange Mountaineers on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

West Orange's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rhyan Watt led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten steals. Watt has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kyley Gary-Grayson, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards.

Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for West Orange, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.
