Volleyball Recap: West Charlotte Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Charlotte lost against Mallard Creek on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lions came up short against the Mavericks, falling 3-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

West Charlotte was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-5, 25-7.

Mallard Creek had a senior duo take command as Alexsandria Washington had 12 digs and three aces and Brooklin Starr-Dent had five aces and three digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Starr-Dent.

West Charlotte now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Mallard Creek, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-18.

West Charlotte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Butler on the 30th. As for Mallard Creek, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Independence on the 30th.
