Football Recap: Maine East Comes Up Short

Maine East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Niles North Vikings and fell 51-6. The Blue Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Maine East's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Niles North, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Maine East will face off against rival Highland Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Niles North is set to challenge their familiar foe Vernon Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
