Football Recap: Strawberry Crest Starts off Right with Win over Carrollwood Day

Strawberry Crest had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over the Carrollwood Day Patriots. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Strawberry Crest found their leader in sophomore Zoe Surrency, who threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Strawberry Crest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Kate Hartman led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Strawberry Crest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 19-6 loss against Plant on the 19th. As for Carrollwood Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
