Preview: Nash Central Bulldogs vs. West Craven Eagles
The Nash Central Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Craven Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Nash Central rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed by Roanoke Rapids at home to the tune of 47-8. The result was nothing new for Nash Central, who have now won seven matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
Nash Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Javaris Jones, who rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, West Craven was able to grind out a solid victory over North Pitt on Friday, taking the game 22-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Craven to victory, but perhaps none more so than DJ Davis, who rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Reginald Lancaster also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.
The victory (which was Nash Central's third in a row) raised their record to 9-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.67 points. As for West Craven, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 8-3 record.
