Recap: Freeman Flyers vs. Centerville Tornadoes
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Freeman Flyers can now relate to. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 75-55 walloping at the hands of the Tornadoes on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Flyers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rocky Ammann, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Ammann has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Peters, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Centerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
Freeman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Centerville will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Castlewood at 6:00 p.m. on March 5th. Castlewood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 198 points over their last three matches.
