Soccer Recap: Red Rock Comes Up Short

Red Rock and Round Valley pushed the score to 8-0 the last time they played Round Valley, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Scorpions fell 2-0 to the Elks. The loss continues a trend for Red Rock in their meetings with Round Valley: they've now lost five in a row.

Red Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Round Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Red Rock will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Round Valley, they will challenge St. Johns at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Johns will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Round Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
