Paint Valley and Southeastern are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Paint Valley Bearcats take on the Southeastern Panthers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Southeastern took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Paint Valley, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Paint Valley turned things around against Wellston on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Golden Rockets.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-35, which was the final score in Southeastern's tilt against Westfall on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Southeastern's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Paint Valley, their victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

Things could have been worse for Paint Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-45 loss to Southeastern in their previous meeting back in November of 2024.
