Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Union). They pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over the Myrtle Hawks on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won seven in a row.

West Union's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Myrtle, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, West Union will challenge Alcorn Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Myrtle, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Potts Camp at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
