Basketball Recap: Bedford Falls Despite Big Games from Aj Koontz and Owen Taylor

Bedford lost against Penns Valley Area back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bedford Bisons took a 64-45 bruising from the Penns Valley Area Rams. The Bisons just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Bedford's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Owen Taylor, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds, and Aj Koontz, who posted eight points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Grey Livengood, who put up six points.

Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Penns Valley Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will square off against Somerset at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Bedford is facing Somerset at the right time seeing as Somerset is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Penns Valley Area, they will face off against Hollidaysburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Penns Valley Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Hollidaysburg likes a good challenge.
