Preview: Eastern Warriors vs. Rock Hill Redmen
The Eastern Warriors will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Rock Hill Redmen at 10:40 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Eastern's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 37-23 fall against Peebles. While losing is never fun, Eastern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Peebles is ranked 144th).
Rock Hill suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Thursday. They were beaten by Fairland 72-29.
Eastern has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Rock Hill, they bumped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Eastern against Rock Hill in their previous matchup back in February of 2017 as the squad secured a 63-23 victory. Will Eastern repeat their success, or does Rock Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
