Soccer Game Preview: Waverly Central vs. Creek Wood

Waverly Central is 0-7 against Creek Wood since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Waverly Central Tigers will host the Creek Wood Red Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Waverly Central is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Wayne County.

Meanwhile, Creek Wood's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Tuesday. They came up short against West Creek, falling 5-0. The loss was the Red Hawks' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Creek Wood fell to 4-1. As for Waverly Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Waverly Central might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Creek Wood in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Waverly Central was down 4-1.
