Basketball Recap: San Gorgonio's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Rim of the World last Monday, San Gorgonio came back down to earth. The San Gorgonio Spartans came up short against the Palm Desert Aztecs on Thursday, falling 84-59. That makes it the first time this season the Spartans have let down their home crowd.

Palm Desert got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Wilcox out in front who went 7 for 8 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wil Wilson, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points.

San Gorgonio's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-9. As for Palm Desert, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

San Gorgonio and Jurupa Valley will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Palm Desert, they and Carter will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
