Volleyball Recap: Bellaire's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Bellaire had to endure a ten-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Weir Red Riders on Monday.

Bellaire easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Mya Marinacci and Aubree Hines, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Ava Ault and her eight assists. Finally, Hines was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Bellaire's victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Weir, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-1.

Bellaire has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Buckeye Local on the 6th. As for Weir, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Tyler on the 9th.
