Baseball Recap: Edmonds-Woodway Extends Winning Streak to Three

Edmonds-Woodway made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mountlake Terrace, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 9-0 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Mountlake Terrace's batters probably weren't too happy with Declan Crawford, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (he gave up two walks). Crawford has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Bau, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Jesus Andrade Martinez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The win (which was Edmonds-Woodway's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Mountlake Terrace, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Edmonds-Woodway didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-3 defeat against Lake Stevens on the 29th. As for Mountlake Terrace, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Garfield on the 29th.
