Softball Game Preview: Orangefield Bobcats vs. Buna Cougars

The Orangefield Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Buna Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangefield will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak.

If Orangefield beats Buna with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Bobcats didn't even let Warren on the board on Monday, marking the Bobcats' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kirbyville hit Buna with a five-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars came up short against the Wildcats, falling 14-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since February 19th.

Orangefield's victory bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Buna, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-8 record.
