Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flagler Palm Coast). They put the hurt on the Deltona Wolves with a sharp 10-3 win on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Marion Clayton was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Logan Shudy, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Flagler Palm Coast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Flagler Palm Coast's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Deltona, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Flagler Palm Coast is facing DeLand at the right time seeing as DeLand is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Deltona, they are taking a road trip to take on Pine Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Pine Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Deltona's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
