Softball Recap: Bastrop's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bastrop entered their tilt with Navarro on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by an 18-1 margin over the Navarro Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jessa Clay was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Griesenbeck, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Bastrop always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Bastrop now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Navarro, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Bastrop didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-2 win against Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin on the 11th.
