Volleyball Game Preview: Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons vs. Lowell Red Raiders

The Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons are taking a road trip to square off against the Lowell Red Raiders at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Lowell will be up against a hot Greater Lowell Tech team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Gryphons put the hurt on Salem with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Lowell entered their tilt with North Andover on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Scarlet Knights.

Lowell not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept North Andover between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-19.

Greater Lowell Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lowell, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Greater Lowell Tech might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Lowell in their previous matchup back in May of 2022. Can the Gryphons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
