Basketball Game Preview: Orland Trojans vs. Redding Christian Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Orland Trojans will jump right back in to play the Redding Christian Lions at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Orland is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Orland's tournament run continued when they took on Anderson on Friday. Orland enjoyed a cozy 51-36 victory over Anderson.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Redding Christian took on Corning on Friday. Redding Christian came out on top against Corning by a score of 47-38. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Cardinals are ranked 924th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Redding Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Orland, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
