Basketball Recap: Hubbertville Piles Up the Points Against Addison

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hubbertville had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Addison Bulldogs, posting an 82-47 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Hubbertville found their leader in sophomore Cole Brand, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc to rack up 28 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brand has scored all season. Kane Rushing was another key player, going 8 for 14 en route to 20 points and six boards.

Hubbertville is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points over those games. As for Addison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-8.

As of now, neither Hubbertville nor Addison have any future games scheduled.
