Basketball Game Preview: Tallwood Lions vs. Bayside Marlins

Tallwood is 1-9 against Bayside since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tallwood Lions will square off against the Bayside Marlins at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Tallwood is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 34th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They fell 48-38 to Kempsville. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Bayside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Kellam and fell 85-22. The Marlins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-11.

Bayside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Tallwood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Tallwood was taken down by Bayside 61-10 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Tallwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
