Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Wayne Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

Fort Wayne Wayne couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 31-29.

Jaden Reeves paced Fort Wayne Wayne's offense, picking up ten kills. Reeves got some help from Gavyn Collier and his 19 assists. Collier was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Fort Wayne Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Fort Wayne Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran on the 23rd. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they will face off against Norwell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
