Softball Game Preview: ALA - Gilbert North Eagles vs. Combs Coyotes

The ALA - Gilbert North Eagles will challenge the Combs Coyotes at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. ALA - Gilbert North is looking for their season's first win.

Things were looking good for ALA - Gilbert North after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Cactus, falling 16-6.

Makenzi Ravelo made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Coco Gomez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Combs came up short against Eastmark on Thursday and fell 5-2.

Combs saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlotte Paterson, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

ALA - Gilbert North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Combs, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

Everything went ALA - Gilbert North's way against Combs when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as ALA - Gilbert North made off with a 13-3 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
