Softball Recap: Laurel Takes a Loss

Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 20-1 to the East Central Hornets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 20-1 loss on Tuesday.

Laurel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for East Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Laurel will take on Vancleave at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Laurel has given up an average of 18.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for East Central, they will face off against Kosciusko at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
