Football Game Preview: South Wake Lions vs. SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles

The South Wake Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for South Wake and four for SouthLake Christian Academy.

South Wake's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against North Raleigh Christian Academy on Friday. They took a blow against the Knights, falling 45-0. The shutout was out of character for the Lions seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Meanwhile, SouthLake Christian Academy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Asheville School (Independent) 55-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Blues are ranked 99th).

SouthLake Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for South Wake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
