Baseball Recap: Winston County Takes a Loss

Winston County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-5 to the Addison Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 last Saturday.

Garrett Lewis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Walker Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Winston County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Addison is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winston County will challenge Falkville at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Addison, they will square off against Sumiton Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
