Baseball Recap: Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Victorious

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Lion have won three matchups by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Elliott Norris looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill got a massive performance out of N J Uhlenberg, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Zach Robinson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

The victory got Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill back to even at 5-5. As for St. Thomas More Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will challenge Thales Academy Rolesville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Thomas More Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Lion's game: after the Lion faces off against the Knights, they'll take on St. Thomas More Academy again at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
