Preview: Chapel Hill Tigers vs. Eastern Alamance Eagles

Chapel Hill has been on the road for four straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Eastern Alamance Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Chapel Hill made easy work of Williams and carried off a 50-28 win.

Chapel Hill had a senior duo take command as David Mirikwe scored 18 points and Ben Cohen Vogel scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Mirikwe has scored at least 25% of Chapel Hill's points. Jason Kreig was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 4 steals.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Eastern Alamance ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed a 77-72 victory over Southeast Alamance. The win was just business as usual for Eastern Alamance, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Eastern Alamance relied on the efforts of Jordan Matthews, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds, and Jayden Adams, who scored 26 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Matthews' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'vier Tinnin, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.

Chapel Hill has yet to lose a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 3-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Eastern Alamance, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Chapel Hill hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 56.8 points per game. However, it's not like Eastern Alamance struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 73 per game. The only thing between Chapel Hill and another offensive beatdown is Eastern Alamance.
