Basketball Game Preview: Bismarck Demons vs. Mandan Braves

Bismarck is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Century just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. The match between them and the Patriots didn't end well, with Bismarck falling 47-33. The game marked the Demons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mandan faced St. Mary's Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Mandan breezed by St. Mary's Central to the tune of 74-37. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Mandan's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for Bismarck, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Bismarck suffered a grim 63-39 defeat to Mandan in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Bismarck avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
