Recap: Barack Obama School for Social Justice Lightning vs. Mahopac Indians

The Barack Obama School for Social Justice Lightning lost against the Mahopac Indians back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Barack Obama School for Social Justice took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mahopac. While losing is never fun, Barack Obama School for Social Justice can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Mahopac is ranked 81st).

Barack Obama School for Social Justice lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Miguel Gonzalez, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raheem Azeez, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Mahopac, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barack Obama School for Social Justice will take on Hastings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mahopac, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ketcham at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
