Basketball Recap: Danville Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Danville came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Princeton Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 52-37.

Danville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Ancelet led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. Ancelet is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Davis, who posted 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Princeton lost, don't look at Raven Jones. Despite the final result, she put up 11 points.

Danville pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Princeton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Danville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-67 victory against Wood Memorial on the 27th. As for Princeton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-33 loss against North Harrison on the 28th.
