Basketball Recap: South Takes a Loss

South easily dispatched Independence last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The South Bulldogs fell just short of the Marion Harding Presidents by a score of 47-44 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Presidents are ranked 89th).

South's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Marion Harding, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

South has already played their next contest, a 75-58 win against Hamilton Township on the 18th. As for Marion Harding, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-34 victory against West on the 18th.
