Softball Recap: Quincy Takes a Loss

Quincy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Ellensburg Bulldogs, falling 22-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jackrabbits of the 19-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Quincy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mariah Stephens, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Trinity Gomez also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Quincy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Ellensburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Quincy by a score of 17-2 later that day.
