Softball Recap: Buffalo Takes a Loss

Buffalo extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 11-13 in the process. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Groesbeck Goats. The Bison were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Goats earlier this season, when they won 18-16.

Izzie Stone was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Yuliana Porras, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

As for Groesbeck, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-13. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games.

On Groesbeck's side, the team relied heavily on Kamryn Curry, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Curry has posted since back in March of 2024. Karley Mayhugh was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither Buffalo nor Groesbeck have any future games scheduled.
