Softball Recap: Haverhill Takes a Loss

Haverhill fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Methuen on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 9-8. The Hillies' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Emmy Monrreal (2025) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Emma Manning (2027), who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Haverhill's record now sits at 5-8. As for Methuen, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Haverhill will venture away from home to face off against North Andover at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Methuen, they will welcome Billerica Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
