Softball Recap: Holly Takes a Loss

Holly came into this matchup off a tough 15-run loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Swartz Creek Dragons by a score of 7-5 on Monday. The Bronchos' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Alyssa Bowman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Molly Charboneau (SVSU) was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Holly's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Swartz Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.
