Recap: Linden Lions vs. Chavez Titans
The Linden Lions lost against the Chavez Titans back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Linden took a 66-49 bruising from Chavez. Linden has not had much luck with Chavez recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Chavez's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Treavon Spivey, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and three steals. Raymond Arnold was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Linden has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Chavez, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linden will take on Edison at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Edison knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Linden likes a good challenge. As for Chavez, they will be playing at home against Weston Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Weston Ranch is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
