Basketball Recap: Central Texas Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Central Texas Christian lost against McGregor back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Central Texas Christian Lions fell to the McGregor Bulldogs 26-21.

Central Texas Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Destin Stringfellow, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Maurer, who earned seven points and three steals.

Central Texas Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. As for McGregor, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8.

Central Texas Christian will host Lutheran at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central Texas Christian's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four matches, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around. As for McGregor, they will challenge Whitney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McGregor is facing Whitney at the right time seeing as Whitney is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
