Basketball Recap: St. Thomas More Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the St. Thomas More Chancellors were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 76-71 to the William Penn Charter Quakers. The loss was the Chancellors' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Thomas More fell to 2-1. As for William Penn Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

The future could be bright for both St. Thomas More and William Penn Charter: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. St. Thomas More will look to extend Eagle Hill's three-game losing streak when the meet at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, William Penn Charter will try to hand Germantown Academy their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
