On Saturday, Lockwood faced Beaverhead County in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lockwood LIONS took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beaverhead County Beavers. The LIONS' defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Leading Beaverhead County to victory were Kyler Engellant and Carter Curnow. Engellant dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Curnow posted 20 points and five boards. Curnow's big performance that morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Cohen Hartman, who had five points and six boards.

Lockwood's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Beaverhead County, the victory (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 23-1.
