Basketball Recap: East Duplin Takes a Loss

East Duplin lost against Wallace-Rose Hill back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The East Duplin Panthers lost 74-48 to the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs.

When it comes to explaining why East Duplin lost, don't look at Calvin Harper. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 13 en route to 18 points. Harper's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Mason Whaley was another key player, putting up ten points.

Wallace-Rose Hill can attribute much of their success to JAWON CARR, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was JAMARAE LAMB, who scored 13 points.

East Duplin's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

East Duplin has already played their next match (against Clinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wallace-Rose Hill will venture away from home to challenge James Kenan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
