Volleyball Recap: Nipmuc Regional Makes It Three in a Row at Home + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Weston, Nipmuc Regional was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Nashoba Regional Wolves by a score of 3-1. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Nipmuc Regional had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-19.

Annabel Palmer paced Nipmuc Regional's offense, picking up eight kills. Palmer got some help from Gabrielle Leet and her 14 assists. Leet also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaylyn Taylor, each putting up three.

Despite the loss, Nashoba Regional still got an impressive performance from Melanie Gould, who had 17 digs and two aces. Gould has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Faith Windzio was another key player, getting 13 digs and two assists.

Nipmuc Regional's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. As for Nashoba Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Nipmuc Regional will head out to face off against Blackstone Valley RVT at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Nashoba Regional, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Shrewsbury on the 25th.
