Basketball Recap: Hutchinson Takes a Loss

Hutchinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southwest Christian Stars. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Stars are ranked 59th).

Hutchinson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Southwest Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Hutchinson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-43 victory against Worthington on the 8th. Southwest Christian has also already played their next game (against New Life Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
