Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

St. Mary kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 68-51 bruising from the Franklin Wildcats. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Defeat or not, St. Mary's got some senior leadership from Jonah Millonida and Jayden Hinkston. Millonida shot 55% from the field to rack up 19 points, while Hinkston posted 17 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kona Gomez, who had five points.

Franklin has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, St. Mary's will take on Granite Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will face off against Fairfield at 3:00 p.m. on December 4.
