Basketball Recap: Madelia Comes Up Short

Madelia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds.

Madelia's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

Madelia has already played their next match, a 68-43 defeat against Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda on the 14th. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-36 win against Wabasso on the 14th.
