Basketball Game Preview: Colbert County Indians vs. Wayne County Wildcats

The Colbert County Indians and the Wayne County Wildcats will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Colbert County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

On Thursday, the stars were shining brightly for Colbert County in a 78-62 victory over Collinwood.

Meanwhile, Wayne County blew past Culleoka, posting a 77-47 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season.

Colbert County better keep an eye on Cayman Camfield. He was instrumental in Wayne County's win, going 9 of 12 en route to 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Camfield's afternoon made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kace Bryant, who posted 12 points.

Wayne County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Colbert County pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29 points. As for Wayne County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
