Softball Preview: Franklin Academy Patriots vs. Whiteville Wolfpack        
        
		
            
 The Franklin Academy Patriots will be playing at home against the Whiteville Wolfpack at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Franklin Academy will be strutting in after a  victory while Whiteville will be coming in after a  loss.
 Franklin Academy is headed into the  game fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They put the hurt on NCSSM: Durham with a sharp  19-3 win on Thursday. The  victory was some much needed relief for Franklin Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
  Hannah Pegram was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Pegram has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Pegram was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Gabrielle Pendola was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Addison Justham, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Whiteville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They lost  13-1 to South Columbus.
 Whiteville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Margaret Cartrette, who  went 2-for-3 with a  double.
 Franklin Academy's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 3-11. As for Whiteville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
